Abstract:

In a review of Ambassador James W. Pardew's book Peacemakers: American Leadership and the End of Genocide in the Balkans (Lexington, KY: University Press of Kentucky, 2018), the author highlights the spectrum of diplomatic, enforcement, and preventive measures taken throughout the Balkans in the 1990s and the beginning of this century, the role of personalities, and the interplay of EU-NATO-Russia relations.
